We are proud to share the success of Marigpa The Golden Journey, a solo exhibition curated in collaboration with The Oneness Gallery, presented at the Hong Kong Arts Centre in April 2025. As our third curatorial partnership and one that took place in our founder's hometown it was a deeply meaningful chapter for Noran Design.

About the Exhibition

The Artist: Marigpa

London-based artist Marigpa works across painting and installation, drawing on themes of nature, ecology, and spiritual connection. The Golden Journey featured over 20 vibrant paintings and two immersive installations across four thematic series: Amazing Nature, Encounter, Dreams, and Compassion.

Curatorial Vision

At a time when the world feels both uncertain and urgent in its call for ecological responsibility, The Golden Journey offered not just visual beauty but a space for reflection, connection, and hope. The curatorial approach was to let the work ask its questions — about our relationship with the Earth, with ourselves, with one another — without imposing answers.

"From our first encounter with Marigpa's work, we were captivated — not only by the visual energy but by the artist's profound call for unity, self-reflection, and environmental care." — Nicole Fung, Curator

Designing the Experience

Exhibition Design and Production

Beyond curation, Noran Design led the visual design of the exhibition — from the signage system and printed materials to the digital presence accompanying the show. Each design decision was made in service of the work itself: creating an environment where visitors could encounter the paintings without distraction.

What This Means for Our Practice

Our curatorial work has deepened what we bring to our digital and brand clients. The discipline of creating conditions for experience — rather than just producing artefacts — is the same whether the medium is canvas, screen, or physical space. The Golden Journey reminded us why that discipline matters.
