Following the London debut at the Royal Watercolour Society Gallery, we are honoured to have brought Avidya's exhibition to the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre a continuation of our partnership with The Oneness Gallery.

About the Exhibition

Rooted in Duality

Rooted in the duality of Avidya (ignorance) and Vidya (clarity), this exhibition is not about answers — it is about the experience of awakening. Through three symbolic chapters — Dark, Light, and Childlike — visitors are invited to trace a journey that is at once personal and universal.

The Opening

The exhibition opened with a private preview, where guests gathered for an intimate evening of conversation, art, and shared curiosity. One of the most moving parts of the evening was witnessing how deeply the work resonated. In a city as fast-paced as Hong Kong, holding space for reflection and vulnerability felt particularly meaningful.

"In our journey through life, we often navigate periods of darkness before enlightenment, emerging renewed like a phoenix into the light. Ultimately, we realise that authenticity, uniqueness, and the playful innocence of childhood are paramount." — Nicole Fung, Curator

What This Collaboration Represents

Cross-Cultural Design

Bringing the same exhibition to two cities — London and Hong Kong — required more than translation. It required understanding how each audience brings different cultural context to the same imagery, the same symbols, and the same themes. That cross-cultural sensitivity is central to Noran Design's practice — in our curatorial work and in the digital work we do for clients across 15 countries.
