The Client
Ai-Da is the world’s first ultra-realistic humanoid robot artist. Her AI-generated works have exhibited globally at institutions such as the United Nations, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and The Pyramid of Giza. A blend of machine learning, robotics, and creative expression, Ai-Da’s work explores what it means to be an artist in the age of artificial intelligence.
The Challenge
As Ai-Da’s presence and portfolio rapidly evolved, her team needed a series of cohesive, professionally designed booklets to document exhibitions and philosophical insights. The challenge was to create a unified design language across editions, while enabling flexibility for continuous content updates. Additionally, we needed to support both high-quality traditional print and an efficient print-on-demand (POD) model for global distribution — each with different technical requirements.
The Solution
We created a scalable editorial design system that ensured aesthetic consistency while remaining adaptable. A modular layout structure allowed for easy updates by curators as Ai-Da’s work evolved, without disrupting the design. High-impact visuals were formatted to enhance the fine detail of her AI-generated artwork.
To meet museum-grade print expectations, we curated premium paper stock and advised on the best printing processes — including both offset and digital — to ensure color accuracy and texture integrity. For the POD edition, we tailored the files to meet specific bleed, margin, and color specs required by providers, enabling seamless global reprints. We also provided the team with a production-ready template and workflow to manage new editions efficiently.
The Impact
Ai-Da now has a professionally produced booklet system used across major exhibitions and collector editions. With a flexible design and content structure in place, her curators can easily update materials as new work is created. The high-end print production has preserved the integrity of her art, while the print-on-demand option has expanded global access and minimized logistical overhead. The result is a thoughtful, scalable publishing system that mirrors the sophistication and innovation of Ai-Da herself.
Noran Design instantly understood the tone and level of detail needed for our luxury editorial materials. From layout to typography, their work elevated the final product and reflected a deep understanding of brand storytelling. A pleasure to collaborate with from start to finish.
