About Us

Noran Design was founded in Essex and built from the ground up as a studio that operates at the intersection of strategic thinking and design craft. In 2026, we were named East of England Global Startup of the Year at the UK Startup Awards — one of the most competitive regional categories in the country.

We work with organisations across Essex — from Colchester and Chelmsford to Southend-on-Sea and the wider East of England — as well as internationally. Our clients include growth-stage businesses, purpose-driven organisations, cultural institutions, and startups preparing for investment. Do I need to meet you in person, or do you work remotely?

We work primarily remotely — most of our clients, including those in Essex, work with us entirely online. We use async-first communication so you're not tied to meeting schedules. For local clients who prefer an in-person session, particularly at project kickoff, we're happy to arrange that.
